Yep you read it right – I got my iPhone 3GS! The last straw came when M1 announced that they will bring the iPhone by the end of the year and the very next day, it was goodbye Starhub, Hello SingTel!

Yes screw the Hubber boloney. Not getting the iPhone is one thing, the constant slow speed I am getting at home on Starhub’s Maxonline Broadband is making me reminiscence of the good old days of using a 56k modem. After much complains, they called up and said it is a technical fault that unfortunately, only happens on certain areas at my block, which incidentally we’ve been staying only for like 5 months! They said it will be fixed by end November – 4 weeks to fix? That’s not very fast isn’t it?

If by end November the situation is not improved, it will be Hello Mio. I think it’s time I vote with my wallet than to stick to Telcos that doesn’t seem to value their existing customer.

Anyway – this is about my photos which I hope to upload at least once a day from the iPhone! Do go have a look!

iPhone 3GS – the missing jigsaw

For a Mac geek like me – having waited two long years to get my hands on the iPhone, it is a surprised to myself that I still yet to own one myself.

I know many out there who were on the same boat as myself (Starhub customers) had decided that the wait for them to bring the iPhone was too long and too painful and had made the switch to SingTel. Somehow, the plans offered by SingTel and the savings I am getting from Starhub made it unwise to do so.

Couple of weeks back, I received a call from Starhub asking whether I was still interested to stay in-the-loop for any updates from Starhub with regards to the iPhone…of course! However, odds are they won’t be bringing them in anytime soon.

But in the mean time, here’s my plan: Barter trade!

Yep – anyone out there who is on SingTel mobile plan who is planning to get a new phone BUT not the iPhone, let me know. I can get your phone with my Starhub contract, while you get the iPhone 3GS, for me…and top-up from either side depending on the amount spent. Sounds fair?

I love stop motion animation. Its been used by famous animators and even used in the early days of video effects – example in Star Wars. Above is one awesome short film done by Tomas Mankovsky, shot with a stills camera in the ceiling pointing straight at the floor – Sorry I’m Late. Do check the making off, which is just as interesting.

For Sale – Dlink DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router

I have a 9 mth old DLink DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router for sale at a nice price of S$150 (cheapest in the market according to HWZ is S$199). It has been installed with the latest firmware (version 1.21) and is 802.11n compliant.

Reason I’m selling is that it does not fully support the Mac (SharePoint technology to allow network storage is not supported) and I want to swop it for the Airport Extreme router.

Feel that the price is fair as it is in pretty good condition. Works as it says and still looking sparking new. Will trade in town and in the East, especially along the MRT East-West line.
