Finally an Olympic medal

by jimmy on August 15, 2008

The table-tennis girls have taken the step closer to getting an Olympic medal for the first time since 1948! Watched the 4 games on the Samsung SGH-P960 that I’m doing a trail for the MobileTV (more on that later).

The results are as follows:

First Singles (Dang Ye Seo vs Feng Tianwei) 0 : 3
Game scores — 5:11 5:11 2:11

Second Singles (Kim Kyung Ah vs Li Jiawei) 3 : 2
Game scores — 5:11 11:8 9:11 11:6 11:9

First Doubles (Park Mi Young/Kim Kyung Ah vs Wang Yue Gu/Li Jiawei) 0:3
Game scores — 7:11 6:11 9:11

Third Singles (Dang Ye Seo vs Wang Yue Gu) 3:0
Game scores — 11:8 14:12 11:9

Fourth Singles (Park Mi Young vs Feng Tianwei) 1:3
Game scores — 7:11 10:12 11:3 9:11

Korea vs Singapore — 2 : 3

The finals will be either against China or Hong Kong on 17 Aug (Sun) scheduled at 19.30hrs. Let’s hope Li Jiawei can buck up and be at least on par with the performance of Feng Tianwei for Singapore to stand any chance. Let’s just hope they have a good rest and we get a nice big gold come 17 August!
