Jesus Phone is(will be) here

by jimmy on May 12, 2008

Singtel finally announced the worse kept secret here about the arrival of the Jesus Phone.

SingTel, Bharti Airtel, Globe and Optus today announced that they have signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to Singapore, India, the Philippines and Australia later this year.

More information will be released at a later date.

Time to look at my mobile plans for the next year.

Update – this might be the sign up for updates page for the Jesus Phone

Eh nothing sacrilegious – just a term used by many on the interWeb on how iPhone’s emergence has rocked the world…

for example:

gizmodo

Much like the Western calendar marks time from before and after Jesus Christ, and how the computer world changed totally by the Macintosh—remembering that Windows is Microsoft’s copy of the Mac operating system—I am certain that the mobile telecoms world will count its time in two Eras. The Era BI: time Before the iPhone, and the ERA AI: time After the iPhone.

or…

The Register consistently refers to the Apple iPhone as the “Jesus Phone” – satirizing the immense hype over its launch.

So yeah – the Jesus Phone will be here.
