OCBC site revamp breaks in Safari

osx-safari h3. The latest Safari build 1.3 works with the OCBC internet banking site.
The latest revamp of OCBC’s website causes their Internet Banking site to break when used with Safari. Although it was reported earlier in February that Safari works for major banks in Singapore, this latest episode reflects how Mac users are always considered 2nd class citizen when it comes to e-commerce sites in Singapore.

With most e-commerce site developers in Singapore relying on MSoft’s technology, it is hardly possible to find any local sites that are Mac-ready. Most would only reluctantly add Mac support on second thought, and mostly only after much feedback from Mac users.
Although Mac users can still use Netscape 7.02 based on their FAQ, but problem is Netscape 7.02 is a piece of software that is more than a year old and that most users will not have that in their Macs unless they go and download. The built-in browser for all Macs is Safari and that should be the browser developers should build for.
So if you are an OCBC bank user, I would strongly encourage you to drop them a feedback requesting for support for Safari.
