Quote: "A majority has single-digit usage."

Let's take two single digits: 1 GB versus 2 GB.

If one is on the iFlexi Value plan with a 1GB limit and you go into excess charges and use 2GB by accident, the result will be Excess Charges of $2831 (according to http://alamak.tumblr.com/post/46502315/singtel-iflexi-plans-for-iphone-3g )

Now that's a heart-stopping 4 digit charge!

Quote: "SingTel spokesman said the telco does not see a need to offer a plan with an unlimited amount of data. It is consistent with market offerings. Users are chalking up less than 100MB of data a month. A majority has single-digit usage."

That's a pretty poor excuse for setting high usage rates. If Singtel wants to break the chicken & egg routine, they should simply offer unlimited plans like in the U.S., where they have everything unlimited plans that include voice, sms, internet, the works. This kind of news makes me upset... corporate greed stifling public access to utilities such as the Internet.
